Cuvée Colchagua Reserva Carménère 2018

So balanced. So pleasurable and drinkable. You will drink the whole bottle without even blinking (or thinking) Deep ruby color, pronounced aromas of blue and black fruit (blueberries, grapes, black cherries and cassis) herbal (mint, sage) and balsamic (eucalyptus) hints of oak (coffee and dark cocoa). Medium(+) body, medium acidity, medium ripe tannins and medium(+) finish. #carmenère #carmenere #chile #chileanwine — 8 days ago

Valle de Lolol Syrah 2016

Solid, well balanced. Just lightly on the dry side. Tastes like an Italian. — 14 days ago

Reserva Quatro Red Blend 2005

Must be in my cellar for like 12+ years.... Tried several times over the years, but only now it gets to a nice balanced point in maturity... At start it was mainly a very jammy fruitbomb. And that grew into a much more balanced Cab Sauvig, Carmenere, Syrah tasting wine. All sharp edges have gone, smooth and silky tanine. Just enough acids to keep it interesting, almost no sweets. Nice full herbs and spice flavours: cinamon, bay, licquorish over cheyy tones...
So the recommendation was to drink before 2010, and I'm happy I ignored that.

Santa Helena

Don Red Blend 2010

A true Chilean gem. Must decant. A faded red on the eye. After decant, the nose is suple with red berries and leather. The mouthfeel is elegant with soft silky tones of red fruit and light baking spice. Excellent. — 12 days ago

Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)

Los Vascos Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1999

Smoky, dark fruit with hints of tobacco. More like a Bordeaux than a South American wine. Excellent wine. Can age longer — 14 days ago

Purple Angel Apalta Vineyard Carménère 2015

Violet, black cherry, tar and granite notes on the palate with sticky jammy texture that lingers for a while. Always nice with nice roast of lamb. Cheers. — a month ago
