Primus Apalta Carménère 2018

This wine has a fragrant nose of cassis, blackberry and licorice. A hint of black pepper also comes through. On the palate a large serving of dark fruit hits first, with sweet oak spice and a savory note of earth. The tannins are easy enough on the mouthfeel, but firm enough to serve a purpose at the table. The savory aspect lingers on the generous finish. — 3 days ago

Primus Valle de Uco Malbec 2014

Candied cherries aromas. Good persistance. Heavy and elegant at the same time. But it lacks some minerality and complexity. — 6 months ago

Pouco Comun Primus Inter Pares Rosé Blend 2019

Interesting little Vino Verde. Some skin contact makes it a Rose’. Fruit forward (apple) but reasonably dry. Typical VV low alcohol and effervescence. Easy drinking and refreshing. Thanks Chris! — 6 months ago

Pale salmon color. Aromas of strawberry, white peach, and Granny Smith Apples. Bright wine! Nectarine and rose petals on the palate. Listening to Tales from the Punch Bowl. Primus Sucks!

Primus Maipo Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

The nose was quite complex for a bottle in the price range, opening up with cassis, raspberry, bell pepper, and light barnyard, then turned to incense, vanilla, cured meat, and mint. The entry was soft yet bright, with fig and spice coming on strong on the mid palate. Fine elegant tannins.
This Primus is in its prime.

Good to know. The Neyen label reminds me of the labels on the bottling from Antiyal, another Chilean winery I likes very much. Cheers @David T !

We went there as well. It was a big day for them the day we were there. They were getting trained on their bottle labeler...all quite excited. They were definitely tired of manually applying labels. Great couple, great site, all biodynamic and very nice reds. We have some vintages we are still waiting on.

Wow! I would love to have a trip like that. I had their 12’ and 13’ red. Very well made.
