Nice mineral taste after open. Cranberry, pomegranate and cherry notes. Light floral accents. Effervescent almost like a soda. Served chilled. Very refreshing dorbandt summer Temps — 3 months ago
Chilled red, perfectly crushable for a warm summer night. Strawberry in color and light berries on the nose. Slightly funky but bright and dry with hints of pomegranate, citrus and herbs. Works well as your first opened bottle on the patio. — 5 months ago
Fun grape varietals (Mencia, Brancellao, Caiño, Sousón, Garnacha Tintorera and others.)and natural, terroir driven, winemaking style makes this bottle taste fresh and lively.
Lots of pepper on the nose, freshly snapped stems, and bright herby components dominate but also tagging along are red fruit flavors like pomegranate, raspberry, red apple skin, and bruised strawberry.
Really quite delicious and unique. — 8 months ago
The wine I have opened is the 2019 Raul Pérez Ultreia Saint Jacques from Bierzo. This is a blend of Mencia, Bastardo and Alicante Bouschet.
On the nose there is strawberry, cherry, raspberry, licorice, herbal, pepper, spice and earth.
On the palate there is red fruit, strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry, blackberry, black plum, licorice, herbs and earth.
This is a medium bodied wine with a beautifully fresh mouthfeel medium + to high acidity and medium + fine tannins that has agrip to it which moves into a long red fruit herbal finish. Have a great weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a year ago
Love Charles Pinots. I do like the Doctors Vineyard from Santa Lucia slightly over the Russian River.
I hold these 5-6 years from bottling, not vintage before I start drinking his Pinots. Excellent Floral fruits, strawberries, pomegranate, dry cranberries, some blackberries, haunting raspberries, cherries, red cola/licorice, dry crushed rocks, fresh to dryish herbs, mid dark spice, vanillin, nutmeg, soft cinnamon, limestone marl, hints of fresh tobacco, wood shavings, red, dark, blue flowers framed in violets. Rainfall acidity with excellent tension, well balanced, nicely structured, floral and polished finish. — 4 months ago
The yin to 2005’s yang, the 2008 is ethereal and elegant, very Burgundian like. The fruit is more red to dark red, slightly more high toned and fresher - red cherry, currants, and pomegranate, with elegant spice and savory notes. The pepper here is a little more perceptible but is also very well integrated with the style the vintage has borne. The palate has med/med+ concentration, with more perceptible acidity, but in a mouthwatering, refreshing way. The tannin are med/med+ and fine, and this finishes long, cool and fresh. Another example of a great vintage/terroir wine. — 6 months ago
Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast, Pinot Noir (2016).
Super plush, juicy, and vibrant; a blend of red and black fruits such as red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate, black cherry, blackcurrant, violet, cola, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon stick, clove, star anise, forest floor, and wet earth.
Lovely complexity with layered aromas and flavors. Good acidity creating tension with the ripe fruit notes. Tannins are soft and velveteen. The finish lingers.

Happy Anniversary Sofia. Your favorite producer, Williams Selyem. Cortona in my dreams always. 🌹
Still a bit youngish but, good. Lighter, floral, dark cherries, both plums, blackberries, black raspberries, strawberries, purple fruit potpourri, pomegranate, mid, dark Asian spices, nutmeg, cinnamon stick, vanilla, steeped tea, semi-dry tobacco, some grilled meats - porkish, mid palate almost speaks to Chateauneuf-de-Pape, limestone & gray, mix of moist clay w/ grey, volcanic minerals, hints of pepper, sandalwood to barrel shavings, mixed berry licorice/cola, rainbow, mid to dark, red, floral bouquet, excellent, rain shower acidity, well knitted evolution, integration, well structured & tensioned, balanced fruit & earth with nice polish and an even, long finish that lasts minutes. ❤️ — 2 months ago
