C De Marin Les Vignes de Paradis Chasselas 2014

Alder Yarrow

Sepia filter courtesy of smoke filled skies here in Oakland. If the end of the world is coming we better get drinking. Let’s start with some regal Chasselas. Six years in the bottle this is starting to pick up some weight with hints of butterscotch on top of the lemongrass and citrus pith notes you’d expect from this stony little white. Quite delicious. — 16 days ago

Millésime Brut Champagne Blend 2012

Dry blanc de noir. Rustic. Delicious. 50% Pinot Noir, 50% Pinot Meunier, 3g/L dosage. Matt Straus says it should age well. Heirloom Saturday wine pick. — 13 days ago

Napa Valley Merlot 2014

1ltr format. Loved everything about it. No sign of premature aging. Wish we had more. Would be difficult to pick this as a merlot, if tasted blind... — 12 days ago

Great wine; your tasting notes are spot on. Lotta horsepower for a Merlot.

Rosé Blend 2019

getting a really peachy flavour from this wine. It's about as sweet as would go on a rose, with still a drier finish, it's a very summery pick, a good sipper on its own for patio days. — 6 days ago

Dixons Creek Reserve Release Syrah 2010

As per previous notes. This is really stalky even though its 60% whole bunch. Just medium weight but ultra savoury and resinous - hard to pick a fruit descriptor. Barb and I liked this wine very much but lovers of big Barossa Reds would differ I think. To be honest in a blind tasting it would be difficult to pick this as an Aussie Shiraz. — 14 days ago

Serie A Salta Torrontés 2015

Very nice surprise! Definitely floral, pears, and oranges on the nose. I think I can even pick out the passion fruit. Smooth and slightly crisp. I’d definitely keep a few bottles in stock. — 4 days ago
