Cinnamon-spiced plum, ripe raspberry, notes of stewed meats, sun-cooked tomatoes, and aged leather on the nose. Plums, ripe red cherry, vanilla extract with with hints of cinnamon, cloves, butter cocoa powder, and cooking fat on a peppery black tart black tea finish. Very nice. Pale, translucent red, with a nose of crunchy fresh cherries, cream, allspice and a pinch of pepper - reminiscent of a Barbera more then a Nebbiolo. On the palate this shows juicy cherry acidity, grippy yet nicely polished & fine tannins and a core of spicy fruit. This is fine, elegant & very drinkable, esp. with the 12.5% alc. Notes of apples, lemon hard candies, lemongrass on the nose. Lemon rind, minerally steel, white peach, hints of zesty ginger on the finish. Nicely balanced, good value, great for food. Went surprisingly well with veggie pizza. — 25 days ago

This needs to breath. And age. Going to buy a few more bottles and let them sit for a few more years. After it breathes, it’s awesome. Dry. Earth. Hints of leather. Stewed red fruits. We oddly had it with chili and was a great companion. — 14 days ago
