The 2015 Lumeo, 100% Syrah fermented in terra cotta, is powerful, deep and super-expressive from the very first taste. Ripe dark cherry, plum, lavender and spice infuse this sumptuous, full-bodied Syrah. Time in the glass brings out the wine's fruit and textural resonance beautifully. Color of purple mixed with ruby, just a tiny bit cloudy. Nose of seducing cocoa, vanilla beans, a bit flowering note, plum, juicy grapes, and a bit medicinal note. Taste of marginal tannins, medicinal notes, vanilla bean, a bit peppery and spice, black cherry, dark skin grapes, and indeed strength of alcohol. Aftertaste is some more pepper and spice note, a bit zest, a bit strawberry, and some more alcohol. A warm Syrah blend. — 7 years ago
