As our old Pastor Fr. Brucciani said when we took him out to dinner at King Estate many years ago and had this wine with dinner... “this is DAMN good wine, yes damn good!” full British accent and all... enough said! — a day ago
Served blind. The color was deep ruby and clear and bright. No real obvious signs of age. The nose was quite charming with tobacco, red fruits, leather and perhaps the slightest touch of barnyard. On the palate, there were tart, dark cherries, currants and earth. The finish was long thanks to a spine of acid. I figured old-school California Cabernet Sauvignon but I wasn’t sure how old. I was quite impressed when this was revealed considering the age and my inexperience with this producer. Bravo! Tannins have integrated at this point. While this bottle could easily drink well past 2025, I would open and enjoy now, it’s worth it. — 12 days ago
Outstanding. “When I say this is a more “classic” expression, it’s because the resulting wine is bold but fine, structured more on the scale of a Barbaresco or Chambolle-Musigny. In other words-true old school Chateauneuf.” - Ian Cauble, SommSelect — 15 days ago
The butterscotch on the nose seemed to suggest this might be a sweeter, plump style of Chardonnay but on the palate it’s dry with a fine acid backbone and subtle minerality. A fine 7 year old and not oaky. — 23 days ago
@delectable cilento aglianico riserva
Nose is blueberry spice and blackberry. Elegant. Very integrated. Deep. A subtle richness. A hint of old school well made California cab. Very deep. Sensual. Some porcini. A ray of lilac shining through a window.
Palate is so elegant in fitting with the house style. Just pumps juiciness. Elegant blackberries. So silky. So juicy. A hint of spice but it’s more in the background. Some blackberry licorice. Maximally delicious. I can’t believe this is Aglianico. Wow. Stunning.
Finish has this palate coating freeze dried blackberry thing. So juicy and long. Like the flavors somehow self replicate.
On day 2 elegant plum flower on the nose. Really pretty.

Fantastic for the price. Very drinkable, conventional/old school- style, nice tannins. Perfect Tuesday night wine — 13 days ago
