It’s good to follow Winemakers. I follow Charles Hendricks. However, Charles last James Cole vintage was 2013.
100% Petit Verdot in anyone’s hands is tricky. This 09 made by Charles is elegant young...just as it is now. It’s just rounder & softer after 9 1/2 years in bottle. It still has teeth but, complex & floral with dark, grippy tarry, round tannins. The darkest of roasted & used expresso grounds, dry earth with dark & brilliant florals. Beautiful acidity and elegant persistent finish.
This offering has another 10-15 of good drinking ahead. Properly stored of course.

Sud-Ouest tasting #7
Beautiful aromatics with baked lemons, apple pie, Mandarine peel... a sweet opening on the palate followed through with amazing juicy, citrus acidity and whiff of exotic spice... the balance is impeccable and the this fits perfectly both a foie gras as well as beautiful apple pie. A grand wine. — 11 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a thin reddish rim.
On the nose blueberries, black plums, black cherries, sweet strawberries, licorice, vanilla, oak, chocolates, earth, dark coffee, light alcohol and pencil lead.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity. Bold yet elegant.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, chocolates, tobacco, dark coffee, light cedar, earth, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, peppercorn and herbs.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is an interesting Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Israel. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Feels more like a Right Bank Bordeaux, which is very interesting.
Still young, but already approachable, and showing good potential. A good quality wine, that would be nice to revisit in 5 years.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly, and remove some of the acidity.
Tangy and spicy. Rich, elegant and extracted. Very tasty.
Good by itself and better with food. Paired very nicely with Brie cheese.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Petit verdot. Aged for 24 months in French Oak barrels. Kosher.
14% alcohol by volume.

Deep black color like the label. On the nose medium + aromas of black fruit ( ripe kirsch, ripe cassis creme de cassis and blackberry jam) hints of ash, toast and cedar. On the palate the wine is rich lush and very “#Mediterranean while being pure pure #Cabernet. Burgundy bottle for Cab! I appreciate it a ton but I don’t love it. Aging incredibly well. 2007 in 2020 — 5 days ago
Celebrating 6 years of wonderful marriage with my beautiful bride, @Krystal Vento
First time trying to this and wow, it was dynamite 💥 Explosive, juicy black and blue fruits, dense dark chocolate shavings lathered in frothy espresso, drops of Mexican vanilla extract, and Christmas spice cake. — a day ago
Great wine. Flavor and body like in the cab-franc and not too much tanine — 9 days ago
