Les Champs de Cri Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Popped and poured. In the glass, a pale straw color. The nose was incredibly fresh, like a cool breeze on a Spring day. Notes of pomelo, kiwi fruit, and wet stone. On the palate, orange bitters, kumquat, lemons...seemingly all of the citrus fruits. Great acid contributes to a long, clean finish. I found this to be a more expressive showing than the last bottle, nearly 18 months ago. — 5 days ago

Les Parcelles Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Dry and light and crisp. White cranberries and pear flowers. Apricot on the nose when first opened. Tart, and lively. Super easy to finish the bottle fast. Buy 2 at a time!
Would pair well with seafood, particularly one heavy on the butter.

Les Passetemps Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

Needed air, this is a very young wine, opened up to dark fruits, very generous and full bodied palate, rich and wide, the texture is silky and almost thick, nice bottle as is but will wait for the others in this vintage.

Très jeune, a eu besoin d’air, fruits noirs, bouche généreuse, assez pleine et riche, texture veloutée et presque dense, très bien. 89-90

Brut 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs

A pale straw color with a generous amount of tiny bubbles. A fine mousse and bead. This is an incredibly alive champagne and it starts immediately. Meyer lemons and tart green apples, along with smoke and mint on the nose. That wonderful citrus streak continues throughout.

100% Chardonnay primarily from Mareuil-sur-Ay and Chouilly. Family owned grower and one of my favorite producers with such consistent quality. Richer and fuller than many others, it’s round and vibrant. Lovely depth and acidity with a backbone of herbs and spices.

Chalky minerality and crystallized honey shine here. Beautiful toasted bread and almonds on display, along with more green apples and lemons. Apricots, plums, and peaches sing a lovely song. Chamomile and more honey on the long, exceedingly pleasant finish. A highly attractive pour.

Origin Macération Gewürztraminer 2018

Thoroughly clean and uplifting with a zingy acid finish. Whatever RS is here plays a sneaky role. — 6 days ago

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2019

Globs of cassis with either tar or licorice (both?) bringing up in the rear. Tasty sour cherries give it a lively jolt. The juice totally saturates across one’s taste receptors and remains with you a good 90 seconds from down the hatch. Yes, it’s young....but, if its current structure continues hand in hand this is going to be a classic Morgan down the road. A gorgeous wine! — 2 days ago

Special Club Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend 2014

Obviously very young and primary. Loads of citrus and minerals but very shy on the pop and pour. Rich texture. Remarkably fine bubbles. Already fun now but I would leave these to rest a while. Disgorged Dec 18, 2018 — 5 days ago

Cuvée de Réserve Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend

Lemon peel nose that turns to custard in the mouth. A very slight salty saline that carries to mid palate before fading away on the finish. Mia’s notes: Yum. 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay disgorged October 15, 2019. TBL — 6 days ago

Un superbe pinot en jeunesse. C’est frais, un fruit pur et d’une belle gourmandise. Ca va être difficile de les attendre ! — a month ago

Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Champagne Blend

Have had better bottles of this. Still fruit forward on the nose but shows a sour/bitter note towards the end that just does not feel like it belongs. — 24 days ago
