Excellent glass at Montys of Kathmandu in Dublin, at his wonderful tasting table in his superb cellar. — 5 years ago
Crisp with notes of dill pickle which is probably described as gooseberry. — 7 years ago
Really cool stuff. Barrel fermented and aged. Remind me of some oxidative natural Loire Sav Blanc but with riper fruit here. I know current release has semillon and I kind of got some of that character here, but label just says Sav Blanc. Kept coming back to it over the night. — 8 years ago
Warm vintage, soft ripe fruit. Presents as young but very approachable with soft tannins, with liquorice and dark fruit prominent and tannins sitting in the background. An intriguing contrast to the Man O’ War blend alongside it. Very easy to enjoy but perhaps some element missing at this stage. — 3 years ago
Delicious. 20 months in Oak. Cab franc still dominant grape at 45% so a slightly different rendition than the old world. Oak, tobacco, dark fruit. Yummy — 6 years ago
Lazy lunch and two bottles later... — 7 years ago
Really enjoyed this. For an NZ Bordeaux blend it was full of fruit and finished without any signs of being a young wine. Getting this again. — 8 years ago

The description: The 2022 Pinque has classic strawberries and cream characters along with watermelon and a touch of Szechuan pepper. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry and correspondingly this wine is relatively low in acid making for a very smashable wine, although like all our wines there is plenty of subtle complexity to delight the taster. Enjoy! The opinion: in total agreement.
