Illahe

Estate Willamette Valley Grüner Veltliner

Wasn’t sure what to expect from an Oregon Grüner. I already loom forward to future bottles Green apple, nice acidity, mineral finish. Love this wine. — a year ago

JM Cellars

Columbia Valley Syrah 2013

Needs some serious aeration still, as it is a huge, inky, tannic monster of a Syrah! Tobacco, ripe pomegranate, wet slate/pencil shavings and a hint of leather loom large and full, once it has gotten enough air. Yum!!! — 5 years ago

Château Lafite Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1996

This 1996 Lafite bottle after a 4.5 hour decant not as good as the previous one. It still combines sheer massivity with elegance. Notes of leather, earth, lead pencil, plums and olives dominate. Unfortunately there is a slight rustic note that seems to come and go that detracts in this bottle. Still a superb wine and loom forward to the next bottle! — 2 years ago

Bone Ash Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Same good friend im always on about opened this up for us last night, very responsible social distanced getting drunk and looking at each other. I dont know if california cabs get better than this. I honestly don't because I don't have this kind of wine budget. But its an excellent wine. From what I remember...Jeez the bottle weights like 5 pounds, its a silky beautiful, fragrant cab tastes like rose pettles, earth, loom, berries, awesome midrange turn up the dial to 11 and dissapears. And bone ash is a badass name for a middle school white zombie cover band...does anyone ever read my reviews? I think I just type this for myself to laugh at years later. — 4 years ago
