Somm. Pear, honeysuckle, grapefruit, passion fruit, lime, lemon, crushed rock. Peaked Spring 2020. — 5 days ago
A superb Rosé and I’m not generally too into still Rosé. This is made from the grapes that fall on the ground from his Premier Cru Vineyards in Vosne and NSG. Terrific intensity and depth of flavor. Truly a Rosé in a league of its own. Bottle 1 from lunch by Quince at The Farm. — a month ago

Prieure Saint-Hippolyte - Languedoc - Blanc
50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Viognier, 25% Vermentino
Nice fresh fruit, dry, Peach, pear, floral, wax, stones.
Not the biggest, baddest, longest aging wine ever, but... a very well made Languedoc Blanc to be enjoyed now, under $15.
Guessing 11-12.5% ABV (label range 11-14), went nicely with an omelette dinner.

Friday eve at home, Prieure 2016, not so good as some vintages before, but ok — a month ago
Methinks 2016 was a good year for this #cahors Château. Inky purple color in the glass. Allow for an hour to open up and take the edge of the tannins; then the nose opens up with black bramble fruit, cassis, slight baking spices, vanilla, molasses and yet still that classic Cahors earth / mushrooms. On the palate it continues that dark fruit, medium pleasing acidity plus coffee finishing with some muscular tannins and a long finish. It might be a touch hot at 14.5% ABV, but not egregiously so. A Château-bottled red from the ancestral home of #malbec for $7 at Costco. Lamb chops or a porterhouse would be a stellar pairing. — 2 months ago
