La Chambée Condrieu Viognier 2017

Dried lemons, orange zest, peach, and tons of ginger and Asian spice. Viscous, with ginger and spice notes carrying. Orange oil mouth feel. Lifted by seater pear to finish. Yum! — 6 days ago

Roses de Jeanne La Haute Lemblé Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 2008

Alder Yarrow

Thanksgiving, so decided to drink one of my better bottles of bubbly, this 2008 Cedric Bouchard “Le Haut-Lemblé” Blanc de Blancs. Like most of Bouchard’s work it is bottled at lower pressures which means very soft, fine bubbles on which ride flavors of kelp, seawater, roasted nuts and dried citrus rind. Gorgeously detailed and saline with mouthwatering clarity and depth. Delicious. — 6 days ago

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2017

Savory delicious #crozeshermitage Northern Rhône #syrah. Lightly smoked meat, black olive, earthy fruit compote on the nose. Lush concentration on the palate but laid back fruit plus black pepper; the expected firm tannins and a trailing finish. Yummy. — a month ago

Roses de Jeanne Presle Blanc de Noirs Champagne 2016

Delectable Wine

The 2016 Blanc de Noirs Presle is an explosion of aromas, flavors and textures. A Champagne of tremendous aromatic intensity, the Presle screams with Pinot character, certainly more so than the earlier wines in this range. The Presle emerges from a tiny parcel of measuring 0.25 hectares planted with 10 different Pinot clones over 15 rows. It is beguiling, nuanced and so full of character. I love the energy here. Zero dosage. Disgorged: April, 2020. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2020) — 14 days ago
