Gaioz Sopromadze

Otskhanuri Sapere 2021

herbaceous funky effervescent red. it’s a big bright wine with notes of blackberry. it’s acidic and tannic, and a unique wine to cut through the flavors of a steak. — 2 months ago

Tsolikouri 2020

First time in the US market
Light amber hue

Smooth tannins.
Surprising how nasty this smelled-mushroom/wet dog, barnyard, you name I smelled all the funk. With hints of citrus

Taste was explosive with citrus, made me want more and more my mouth wouldn't stop watering.
Excited to see their next wines.

Imereti Krakhuna

a smooth leathery georgian red. it is fresh peppery with the fruit barely present. the tannins and acid definitely overpower this wine, but with the right dish it would balance well. i may experiment with this one. — 2 months ago

Dry Krakhuna-Mtsvane 2019

‘Dry White Wine’. Maybe Mtsvane. Very light color. Almost clear. Hint of lime on the nose. Bitter something. Flavors are strange and herby. Camphor, Halls type thing in there. Clean and elegant. Has nice body. This is a crazy interesting white wine. — a year ago
