This was quite tasty, and paired well with lamb as well as chocolate. I was really impressed by its youthful color, flavor, and aroma despite its age. Seemed like only a couple years old.

Terra Tartaro Villány Terra Red Bordeaux Blend 2013

Dark purple with very faint bricking on the edge. Nose is very generous, deep, black fruited supported by oak. Reminds me of Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere. Color + nose suggest extracted and bold wine but palate is suprisignly medium bodied with firm structure and nice fruit acid balance. One could take this is a top class Cru Bourgeois. Only slightly too prominent tannins distract on a othervice highly enjoyable taste. This needs food and is still very primary at age 7. I take this will be at it's best around 3-5 years from now. My kind of easy-drinking wine! Very Beaujolais-like. Tart cranberry, rhubarb, pomegranate, and green strawberry on the nose and palate. Cinnamon and clove spice, Bulgarian rose, and vintage red lipstick. Light as air, with super bright, vibrant acidity, but surprisingly structured despite its ethereal character. Tastes like Thanksgiving. Absolutely delicious; would drink the whole bottle. Twice. — 10 days ago
