Carried back from the Fleury family’s wine bar in Paris — a month ago
Perfectly integrated. Drinks richer than an extra brut. The Pinot blanc is a surprise and a good one. — 8 months ago

That always lovely Saignée color of deep blush red is a precursor to the experience. Tiny, precise bubbles that are ever present. Passion and emotion are the keys here. The nose is very fresh with deep red fruit aromas. There’s a sense of the forest here, of wooded areas and glorious nature. A bit of toast and butter with herbs and floral notes.
If you know Champagne Fleury then you know that the house has been the pioneer in biodynamic wines. As a result, this Rosé de Saignée is particularly clean and focused as opposed to others that are heftier and more dense. This is as light as a feather while still producing that drama and emotion that we crave from these wines.
100% Pinot Noir from Courteron in the Aube and based on the 2015 vintage. A true showcase of the terroir. Deft and graceful in the mouth with an abundance of red fruit. More yeast and earth notes along with a dash of spice. This is elegance and sleekness over power. A lovely champagne. — 9 months ago
We had the 2011 Vintage on 11/25~26. A terrific Burgundian wine with cherry and mushroom. Tannins all smoothed out. Had this 6 years ago and thought it was a dud. Patience is rewarded — 2 years ago

A distinct shade of medium old gold with with persistent little bubbles. The nose is resplendent with apples of the green variety. An abundance of citrus scents along with yeast and a touch of nuttiness. Just a bit of smeared honey aromas goes a long way here.
Biodynamic and beautiful. Zero dosage and aged for six years, the strength here is balance and purity. Terroir driven and electric, this is an incisive and focused champagne. Composed of 85/15 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and wonderfully dry. Lemons and dried herbs on the palate along with cherries and apples. Long and dry and lovely. — 22 days ago
