Mati Fortuna

A beautiful label from Greece. Plenty of acid but/yet that salty thing I find in second-world terroirs is there (sorry), but only a small amount. Rate-able. — 2 days ago

Young Vines Macedonia Dry Xinomavro Negoska 2015

My first wine from Greece. Tannins are noticeable even at 5 years of age. Another Chicago wine shop recommendation and it’s not bad. Probably could use a little chill but hey after 5 hour drive home it was just an open and pour. — 23 days ago

Manolis Garalis

Terra Ambera Muscat of Alexandria 2019

This bouquet is magnetic man. Honeycomb, wildflowers, sweet apricot preserves, and jammy jam jam lilies.

Subtle apricot and flowery honey petals. I’m not even making sense because of how much this drips of wonderfully fragrant natural elements.

Slight bubbles. No funkiness, just smooth sailing to flavor town.

Xinomavro 2015

Very light overall, the lightest xinomavro I have had ,hence I have only tried a couple. Electric ,red razzberry zinger, crunchy, definitely crushable, went down too well! Liking it for sure! — 7 months ago

Naoussa Xinomavro 2012

Pepper, cardboard, spices (vanilla scent vs wild) and ripe black berries which are slowly fading away. The 12 month aging in barriques pays off right now, 8 years after, giving a full-bodied wine with fuzzy molten tannins, a warm albeit dry palate. Lingers endlessly on the tongue, between the teeths. Made to last. — 17 days ago
