Let breath for 2 days. Still could have used a 3rd but we are impatient. Deep dank sensual purple fruited powerhouse. Wanted to sit with this wine for hours. Each sip revealed more of its complex bouquet. Tannins got the best of us and had to move back to white wine. Thx Cerasulo. — 4 months ago
This full bodied wine leans towards savory, but also gives red fruit, meaty flavors, stewed fruit, and dried herbs. This wine speaks to me in a Chateau Musar kind of way.
Yarra Yering is one of Australia’s most iconic wineries. The 2010 Dry Red Wine No 2 is a unique blend consisting mostly of estate-grown shiraz (95%), with small portions of viognier, marsanne and mataro. It is described as sort of an Australian riff on an old-school Cote-Rotie. I call this one delicious.

1985 vintage. Arguably, my fave wine but first time ever tasting this vintage. It didn’t suck. Decanted. Throwing appropriate sed. Light-medium body. Mixed elderly funk nose with the trademarked cocoa powder and blueberry early on after an hour decant. Bright cherry and ripe plum rolling after two hours decanted. More stuffing than expected. Really nice specimen. Definitely not getting any better but at the top of the bell curve for another 2-3 years. Window is closing. Run, don't walk. 5.11.23. — 23 days ago
Tart blackberries and dusty sage, just a bit of violet, with an undercurrent of bitter cocoa. Low tannins, low acid, blackberries and herbs. Fresh and smooth. — 4 months ago
Very fresh. Decant for 2 hours and serve cool.
Amazing start to finish. — 5 months ago
Blend of 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and smoky cedar notes. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black cherry with cacao, tobacco, licorice and smoky spice. Fine tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with fruit, cedar, smoke and earthy mineral character. Very nice, will age well but wait a few more years to really enjoy! — 3 months ago
This is designed for those that love strong, peppery, fruity and earthie touch. — 4 months ago

2 hour decant(decent fine/chunky sediment). A majestic purplish dark magenta color. On the nose: bursting from the glass are notes of red and black fruit, charred wood, milk chocolate, some mint, touch of cigar box. Taste: smooth, delicate, elegant wine with red berries/plum, leather, gravel, herbaceous, mocha, and a spiced tobacco medium plus finish. YUM! Drinks well with the decant, but no hurry, time to go. — 15 days ago
