Brambly black fruit - fresh, crushed, juicy - with a big pinch of pepper. Add to this a bit of violets and some crushed rock - this is not a shy wine.
Poised & balanced on the palate with juicy acidity, fine tannins and a sense of place. Quite elegant, too.

Sauvage, blood, olive tapenade, baked rocks, bramble. So smokey and meaty, this was delicious 😋 — 5 years ago

Dark ruby color. A wine I haven’t had. Apparently a combo of Grenache and Cabernet. Strong strawberry nose. A nice palate of dark cherry strawberry tobacco. Complex long finish. — 2 years ago
Delicious mouthful of wine. Black berry, creosote, oolong tea, mince meat. Fine long tannins. Solid. — 5 years ago
Drinks like a Pinot Noir but more full bodied like a Malbec. Low acidity. — 10 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is “La Vermentino” by Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot
This interpretation of the variety offers some distinct pleasures. Elegant and starkly mineral with swelling, airy green fruit at the core. Searing pineapple acid on the finish with an echo of caramel apple and pear drop. Very cool use of oak. — a year ago
Fruity very well balanced and elegant and medium bodied , our favourite, can give hangovers!
