A truly lovely cherry red Rioja. — 10 days ago
This Pichon-Baron was in the earliest peak of its window, pure ✏️ and graphite cigar box nose, rich, intense, leading cassis, tar and a mineral and wonderfully tannic trip over the palate and a long, 40 second finish that was reminiscent dry red clay. Good news: I have 11 more in the case I cracked last night. Bad news: I’ll be in my 60’s before these open up and the secondary stuff really starts to show. — 6 days ago
Beautiful. Pretty fruit. Nice finish. Black Cherry? Not too dry. Like a Bordeaux, balanced and blended to me. Well done. Oct 10, 2020. — 9 days ago
Clear garnet. Nose of black cherry and roses. Medium light, fruity palate of black cherry, violets, and a hint of anise. Medium plus acidity. Medium minus tannins. Hey, it’s a solid Sangiovese that’ll go great with Italian-American fare or medium cheeses. Drink now. — a month ago
It’s been around four years since my previous bottle, it was a bit harsh back then, but it’s totally singing now. Still a lot of fruit, but also leather and forest floor. Such a good balance between young and old, I would say it can age for longer due to a lot of tannins, but this is a great time to drink it. — a month ago
14’ d'Yquem "Y" 75% SB 25% Semillon.
Let this warm up & open up in the glass for a good 30+ minutes. Medium gold color. Yellow/green apple, apricot, white peach, pear, hint of honey. wrapped in light/medium acidity. Everything plays together beautifully. Wonderfully made wine.
Want to thank Ronnie for not just picking up this wine and throwing it into his wine cellar for the last year +. Just being an all-around great guy. Thanks again for everything. @Ron R . Wanted to give this a proper post from last nights dinner. — 3 days ago
