Château Tour Pibran

Château Pibran

Cru Bourgeois Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Short decant and needed more as it’s very young. Cherries, cedar, and ample oak on the nose. Wine has medium depth and medium tannins. Cherries dominate the palate with some pumpkin spice. Medium minus finish. Overall solid every day wine that is more New World than old. — 15 days ago

Château Tour des Gendres

Cuvée des Conti Bergerac Sec Sémillon 2017

Sud-Ouest tasting #2
Elegant, complex, poised, the Semillon breatdh of lemon wax matching the floral Muscadelle nicely. Beautiful mouthfeel, layered, coating, escapes the obvious clichees. Really nice.

Château Tour des Gendres

Pet' Nat' Bergerac Sauvignon Blanc

70% SB, 30% Chenin

Gold and green apples, lemons, white flowers, and saline minerality on the finish. Bright but with a little texture as well. Paired with lobster risotto with a hint of cayenne pepper.

De Conti

Tour des Gendres Bergerac Merlot Malbec 2018

Cardboard and dust at first glance. Then smokey and spicy hints of smoke. Medium-bodied with a rich palate and coffee aftertaste. Super technical, amazingly constructed. — a day ago

Château La Tour Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2001

Decanted for an hour. Dusty Dark garnet center, pale brown meniscus, medium viscosity. On the nose, inviting ripe red and black fruits - cassis, strawberries that are still very much present, licorice, tobacco, tar and wet clay/gravel. On the palate, silky luscious mouthfeel with resolved tannins and in the just the right balance with Acidity. Decent finish, but left me wanting more.. Dry wine, medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol and medium plus body. This cuvée was 85% Cab Sauv 15% merlot. Second label of the famous La Mission Haut-Brion. — 6 days ago
