2012 vintage. Violet and blackberry nose. Dry, medium bodied, with plum, black raspberry, oak, green peppercorn. Got the timing right on this one. 13% ABV. — 15 days ago

Château Pontet Plaisance

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Rounded out very nicely on day two. I would say that the remaining bottles would peak in two to three years. Not the most complicated wine but a pleasure to drink nevertheless — 3 months ago

Château Grand Tayac

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

I don’t drink a lot of Bordeaux, mainly because it doesn’t go with a lot of the Italian-ish stuff I cook, but I do enjoy a nice one when the food is conducive to it. This has lovely, composed, slightly plummy cassis fruit, and warm gravelly scents, along with a waft of sweet smoke. Great balance in the mouth (only 13%) with nice acids and super-soft tannins. — a month ago

Les Palues Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Best one I’ve had. I’ve only ever had 2 though sooo... it’s good, smooth, lingers in the nose. — 2 years ago

Château de Plaisance

Le Clos Chenin Blanc 2015

Slightly oxidized notes give way to orange grind notes. There is a hint of honey and a zing of lemons.. nice mid palate and finish . Very enjoyable — 2 months ago
