Great one. Just right body — 2 months ago
Bottled lightning. Concentrated mineral. Lemon, grapefruit pith, slate, honeyed pear, white flowers, sweet hay. — 5 months ago
A more tannic textural expression of #pinotnoir from #newzealand long finish. Very fine. Very elegant. — 3 years ago
Intense, brooding, and complex nose. Dark cherry, plum, sandalwood, and charcuterie. The palate is med/full bodied, med acidity and delivers quite opulent sour cherry and plum fruit. Smoke and chocolate on the end palate. Very long. A bit heavy relative to a burgundy, but the flavour profile, complexity, and length do not disappoint. — 4 months ago
Lush and bright with a crisp finish. Lime, green apple, kiwi, white peach and a little melon with a smattering of herbs rather than heavy pyrazines. Lots of acidity for freshness, although a bit high in alcohol, so has some body. The oak doesn’t get in the way for me, as it often does w SB — it adds to the texture and lush mouthfeel and adds a a hint of spice, but otherwise pretty classic. — 3 years ago

A pale crimson with a tawny edge - almost transparent. A high quality Pinot Noir from Canterbury wizards Marcel Giesen and Sherwyn Veldhuizen. As I said last tasting note - pale but powerful. As good a new World Pinot Noir as you will find, and this is Bell Hill’s second wine. I can’t improve on the previous Delectable note from October 6 2023. These wines from Bell Hill aren’t cheap but are a lot cheaper than good Burgundy. — a month ago
