Benton Lane

First Class Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2018

We had the 2018 First Class PN on 8/3-4/22. The second night was much better. The mouth feel was nicely velvety. I agree with the taste of stewed fruits and baking spices. A good PN. — 6 days ago

Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Flawless. This one gave me so much pleasure. Very well done. Not over the top or flamboyant. Just rich, velvety, layered and trustworthy. Wish I had an other bottle. — 16 days ago

Domaine Serene

Yamhill Cuvée Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2018

A better example of 2017 OR PN, but still pretty fruit forward and leaning slightly generic....maybe just better wood than the Benton Lane? — 10 months ago

Inocente Macharnudo Vineyard Fino Palomino Fino

A trip down memory lane! This used to be my go-to as a frugal engineering student in Melbourne. It delivered such great bang for the buck, and it still does. Where else can you find an old-school, long-aged wine from a single vineyard for around $20-30? This was briny, yeasty, toasty, nutty, and herbal, with a distinctly salty curry-leaf finish that just keeps growing even after the wine's gone down the throat. Wow! Definitely one of the best QPR in the market in my opinion. — 10 days ago
