This golden, kosher wine has a beautiful nose of flowers, apricots and citrus, with some pineapple thrown in for good measure. There is a hint of sweet oak spice in there as well. The palate brings the lemon and lime out front, with a stone fruit aspect as well. The finish is medium long and maybe a bit too oaky for some, but I think it hits the right spot. — 21 days ago
Perfect Summer white! Light but not insipid, fresh with hints of newly cut grass, gentle acids and pleasant fruit. 13.5% ABV but drinks like 10%—I could quaff this all weekend, with all manner of food. Enjoyed the 2019 vintage with homemade chicken liver pâté on toasted brioche and a bratwurst sandwich with sautéed peppers and onions. — 19 days ago

Powerful. Concentrated. Black currant. Spicy. It is equivalent to grand cru. Match with beef. 2009 @1280, domaine -, 210918-210919 — 6 days ago
Very aromatic. Overwhelming. A dark fruit: blackberry, plum. Then: a cigar. Long finish with spicy notes. Love it. — 8 days ago
Another vintage bottle from the old wineshop. I won’t even tell you how little I paid for this.Still had good color and good fruit. Yummy. — a month ago
Château Pichon-Longueville Baron 1990
Dark ruby - minimal browning. Really surprisingly youthful in appearance for a wine of this age
Loads of sediment in the bottle, decanted and served immediately
Intense floral aromas, rose bouquet, leading into fresh tomato leaf. The fruit is very present, but precise, blackcurrant. Combined with the pencil lead that follows it’s so representative of place. There is no barnyard on this wine and very little leather. Slight dried tobacco, with high-toned cedar and faint cinnamon and cardamom spice rounding out the nose.
The wine is lively on the palate, with the fruit tending red. Fine-grained but not yet resolved tannins, as well as lively still medium+ acidity hold up the wine nicely through a fruity and slightly herbaceous finish which lasts at least a minute.
Exceptional wine on a great night. This wine blew us all away by its freshness and felt like it has 5-10 years to go before reaching full maturity. I personally loved the freshness and tension it still brought and for me this has got to be the peak, but we all agreed that it would be so enjoyable to revisit this bottle 10 years from now.
Paired with braised lamb shank in red wine reduction with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. — a month ago
This is a dangerous and powerful rose. Crazy fun blend too: Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Carignan and Clairette. Can they fit more in there? Sheesh….
It’s abundance of grape varieties can only be matched by its flavor varieties. Whereas most roses are 1-3 flavors, there are about 7 or 8 unique fruits and compounds here. Strawberry, cherry, watermelon, mint… you name it I bet you can find it. — 2 months ago
