a little bit of Guns N’ Roses in this one — 14 days ago
Big wine! Lots o berries n rich structure but far too young with a bit disparate flavours n a little aggressive tannins n acididi. Looking foreard to it in a few years! — 5 months ago
Nice, crisp Riesling with a little kerosene minerality. Sharp, a bit overtaking acididi. Some peach n a little exotic fruit w time n temp. — 9 months ago
Smells like red currant, tastes like bright grape juice, a bit of wood and dark fruit in the middle, bright raspberry at the end. A little funky, lighter than expected, and bangin — 4 months ago
Lake placid wine n spirits shop - full bodied, silky w/ a little bit of sediment, cocoa notes — 9 months ago
First time trying the Baron-Fuente Millesime after their Reserve and it enjoying that quite a bit. This one needs a bit of time in bottle to show its better self than their N/V fresh.
The nose shows; macerated fruits of, green & golden apples, lemon, lime zest, well overripe pineapple, white peach and hints of grapefruit with pith. Lots of bread dough and yeastiness. Soft chalkiness & volcanic minerals, oyster shells, yellow florals & lilies with mixed greens.
The palate again delivers that bread dough & yeastiness. Macerated fruits of; green & golden apples, lemon, lime zest, well overripe pineapple, white peach and hints of grapefruit with pith. Lots of bread dough and yeastiness. Soft chalkiness & gritty volcanic minerals, saline, oyster shells, yellow florals & lilies with mixed greens. Good acidity and a well balanced & polished finish. This will deliver a little more with a 3-5 years in bottle.

An 8.7abv pounder seems like a contender for bell ringing. Let’s see if this Big Philly number has the clapper, and is all it’s cracked up to be. The judges are looking for a big freedom ringing ding-and-a-dong before they bestow the bejeweled belt. Pale aspect, though sinewy. Platinum flattop. Is this Dolph Lundgren (on the DL)? Does that make me the Italian S-T-A-L-L-I-O-N mang? Some know where I’m go-ween with this. Wealth of the ‘Delph. Ridge over space pods lacing where the pods spill downward in the unctuous tears of muscle sweat. Juicy grapefruit nose, tinged with a little octane, oranges, lemons, and limes; all parts. Soft butterscotch parts, too.. Dried tropical mango, pineapple and just a bit of ginkgo fruit bruised in the knees. Gorgeous mouthfeel. All the classic beer elements share the stairs here! Candied trio of citrus peels here: lemon, orange, grapefruit, and touches of caramel apple. Not a long finish, but a hard fought TKO in the end! .

Fine minerality but a bit short n too oxidized for my taste. Reminds a little of cava. — a year ago
A wine for our anniversary, 1968, one day away on the 18th.Very nice nose with olives slight plum and some other stuff going on there it’s hard to figure out but it’s very pleasant. Taste very nice with some mushrooms really very well integrated and Barb says fried onions, yikes! Overall really surprised 50 years this is very nice wine as our marriage with somewhat of a little bit of a burnt orange but very clear color. — 3 years ago
