Here it is another weekend. We have made it to another Friday and the weekend is upon us. I have opened the 2018 Colline Pescaresi Tiberio Pecorino from Abruzzo, Italy.
On the nose was very difficult to get the first readings until it came to room temperature. Once at room temperature I was able to get aromas of lime, yellow melon, almond butter, jasmine, sage and minerals.
On the palate the wine felt fresh with notes of lime, lemon, green apple, spice, floral notes, herbs, saline and a good minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + to high acidity that leads to a long crisp, fresh, mineral, saline finish. The weekend looks to be a wonderful one that brings in a great fall season. Please stay healthy and safe and have a great fall weekend. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 16 days ago
I found I really like this producer. Light notes of leather and dried cherry and raspberry. Black tea, fig newtons, and a lil spice cake. The tannnis are there but staring to resolve nicely, medium grained and light siltyness. Acid not overt, medium..? Very well resolved at this point but not peaking yet. Drink or hold. Decant 45 at least. — 15 days ago
A little light for a cab franc but smoky, dry and easy to drink. — 20 days ago
Nice pizza wine. Pairs well with a crushed tomato pie with fresh mozzarella and garlic. — 8 days ago
There's a bile thing here which fortunately fades with time. Some re-ferment as well. The fruit is nice though. — 5 days ago
