Dark purple to black. Smells lovely with some tar and licorice to go with the rose water, blackberry jelly and cherry compote. Flavors are on the fruity side, but this is Syrah fo sure. Tannins in spades. Licorice galore. Darkness abounds. Pretty clean. Could use a hint of bacon, soil, barns or mushroom to make it better. Label has five stars, but I’ll give it four. — 5 years ago
